More about this add-on

Plot equations by entering them in a bar, and see them plotted.

Equations can include many of the functions available in the Python standard functions or math module, including sin(x), cos(x), abs(x), log(x), and many others. Standard constants are also available including pi and e.

Developer Comments

Plot is under active development. We're still experimenting with the interface, so it may change in future versions. We plan on having buttons for the available functions available (at the very least) in future versions.

Release Notes

Version 6 — April 13, 2010 — 73 KB

Added Features:
- Full undo/redo support for adding, removing, and converting equation inputs.
- Added buttons for sine, absolute value, e, and pi.

Bugs Fixed:
- Changing an equation to Python input will no longer change the order of the equations.
- Python equations now use __future__ division (default is real division, not integer division).
- Removed dependency on gtk.glade, which improves compatibility.
