Batoví gvSIG is a personalization of free GIS gvSIG Desktop, adapted as a tool for education with geographic component materials.
It aims to be a tool for educators to facilitate students to the analysis and understanding of the territory, having the ability to adapt to different levels or educational systems. Not only can be applied to the teaching of subjects of geography, but it is useful for learning any subject that uses the territorial component, such as history, economics, natural sciences, sociology, etc.
gvSIG Batoví facilitates interactivity learning of students with the information, adding the spatial component to the study of materials, and facilitating the assimilation of concepts using visual tools such as thematic maps.
Analysis tools available to help understand spatial relationships, both those specific to a desktop GIS client, adapted for easy handling by students of primary and secondary education (including: support vector and raster formats, tools navigation, information tools) and also adds new functionalities such as the educational field Thematic Maps.
