Developer Comments

This activity works on an XO. It is not supported in other environments. If installed normally, it will not be useful. It requires a usb key with example content. It also requires that Firefox be installed. The homepage contains instructions and scripts to install everything needed. The installation scripts modify two files in Sugar: sugar-launch and SImpleHTTPServer.py. This should not affect the operation of Sugar. Currently, the second and fifth examples in the second milestone of Explore do not work. Please consult the home page for more information on how to use the acitivity.

Release Notes

Version 61 — November 8, 2012 — 374 KB

This release works with a modified content organization. It launches the localhost at boot time. This enables the library on the school server to be accessed from the Browse Activity on 12.0.1 and later releases.

The Learn Activity is not supported on XO-1.75 (Firefox is not compatible with the Arm processor).

It does not operate on 0.82 because of Rainbow. There is a work around but I no longer have an XO with 0.82 to test. Contact the maintainer if you need this capability.
