More about this activity
Internet Archive is a website containing about a million ebooks created by scanning in page images from books that are out of copyright. The books are in PDF and DJVU format, and this Activity will let you search the archive by Author and Title and download the books you find. When you select a book in the results table you will see all the information the archive keeps for that title, including publisher, a description, language, and more. This meta information will be saved in the Journal description field when you download the book to the Journal.
This Activity only downloads the books. You can use the core Read Activity to read the books. The best format available is DJVU, but the Read Activity in version .82 of Sugar does not support it very well. If you are using Sugar on a Stick you are running .84, which does have excellent DJVU support. All other users should consider the Color or B/W PDF formats.

Developer Comments
This first version was good enough to criticize but has known problems and should not be used.

Release Notes
Version 6 adds the option to download EPUBs from the Internet Archive as well as PDF's and DjVu's. You should be aware that at this time the EPUBs from IA are not of the best quality. Most contain OCR errors that have not been corrected. For most users the DjVu option will still be the most useful.
